Team BuilderTM: Creating Effective Work Teams

 

 

Builds skills to help members of work teams understand their roles and responsibilities, and the results they must achieve.

Overview

Team Builder shows participants what it means to be a team and helps them anticipate the challenges and opportunities ahead. It clarifies their new responsibilities, and develops joint accountability for business results.

Team Builder also includes pre-work that involves managers in key decisions regarding teams and their tasks, roles, capabilities and development. Managers are guided through a Task Analysis, a Competency Analysis, and develop a Transition Plan for the teams.

Objectives

Participants are able to:

·         Understand their new roles and responsibilities, the competencies these new responsibilities will require, and the transition period involved in gaining these competencies

·         Understand how they will be held accountable for results

·         Anticipate and resolve the team issues that arise during the team’s formative (or transition) stages

·         Establish team ground rules for how they will work together

Tailored to Schedules and Participant Needs

Interact has two standard versions of Team Builder, each designed to work optimally within a different set of time parameters. In addition, Interact creates custom versions to meet customers’ exact needs.

Version A: "One-Day" Program

This version is designed to be trained in a day. 

Version B: Two “Half-Day” Sessions

This version is designed to be trained in 2 half-day sessions held about a week apart. Having a week between the sessions gives participants time to practice and consolidate their skills.
